Camp Woodmere, a 32-acre luxury compound built in the 1880s, sits on the Upper St. Regis Lake in the Adirondacks
YouTube co-founder Chad Hurley and Restoration Hardware founder Stephen Gordon are auctioning off a 32-acre camp they jointly own in New York’s scenic Adirondack Mountains.
Their slice of North Country wilderness, known as Camp Woodmere, hits the chopping block on Saturday afternoon. The property, which was previously listed for $5.25 million, is selling without reserve, according to Platinum Luxury Auctions, which is handling the sale. Potential buyers can cast bids both on site and remotely.
The camp is located on the Upper St. Regis Lake, a bucolic waterway that has attracted affluent families and captains of industry since the Gilded Age, including the likes of the Rockefellers and Vanderbilts. It was during that time that wealthy Baltimore native Robert Garrett established Camp Woodmere in 1883 and built out what is now a sprawling compound with nearly two dozen structures.
