Waterfront Estate in Ultra-Exclusive Miami Community Set for Luxury Auction® on Valentine’s Day

For those looking to splurge on a gift for their loved one this Valentine’s Day, an impressive waterfront estate located in one of the nation’s most exclusive residential enclaves may serve as the perfect display of affection.

Miami-based real estate auction house Platinum Luxury Auctions has announced a February 14th luxury auction® date for a home within the Gables Estates community in Coral Gables, Florida. Recently asking $17.9 million, the property will be sold without reserve at a live auction held on the property site. Platinum, which specializes in the luxury auction® sale of non-distressed, multimillion-dollar properties, is managing the auction in cooperation with listing broker Audrey H. Ross of Miami’s Compass Florida brokerage. Ross has long been one of Miami’s top luxury agents.

The tri-level residence is one of fewer than 200 homes located within Gables Estates, where some the world’s most elite movers and shakers reside. Platinum Luxury Auctions has added another record sale to its portfolio. On November 25th, Platinum held a luxury auction® for a luxurious waterfront estate in Hollywood, Florida, which resulted in a purchase price of approximately $3.6 million.

According to Platinum’s analysts – who reviewed both the Realtor’s Multiple Listing Service (MLS) and the Broward County property records – the price ranks as the third-highest sale for a single-family home in the city of Hollywood’s history, on both a gross and price-per-square-foot (ppsf) basis. The sale also registers as the city’s number one all-time price for a home located west of a fixed bridge (a location that limits boating access to Florida’s Intracoastal Waterway and the Atlantic Ocean).

Tech mogul Manny Medina will soon auction his Gables home – without a reserve

Billionaire Manny Medina will auction his 15,000-square-foot mansion. The five-bedroom, six-bathroom house facing a canal at 555 Arvida Parkway was previously listed for $17.9 million.

Manny Medina is no stranger to goodbyes. He made multi millions by starting and selling several tech companies.

This time, Medina plans to part ways with his five-bedroom Coral Gables estate.

Medina will auction his 15,000-square-foot mansion in mid-February without reserve through Platinum Luxury Auctions, according to the downtown Miami auction house. The five-bedroom, six-bathroom house facing a canal at 555 Arvida Parkway was previously listed for $17.9 million. A no-reserve auction means the home will be sold regardless of price.

Adirondack camp sells for $2.9M

Panther Point, a former Great Camp on the shore of Upper Saranac Lake, has sold for $2.9 million.

The previous owners, William and Beth Zollars, made the property available for auction in August. It had previously been listed for $3.9 million.

Platinum Luxury Auctions hosted the auction on the upper deck of the boathouse.

The sale is the third-highest price on Upper Saranac Lake in the most recent four-year period, according to data provided by the real estate company.

77-Acre Solar-Powered Farm in New Jersey Heads to Auction

The estate, surrounded by preserved land, has a greenhouse, a swimming pool and a caretaker’s cottage

Deer Run Farm, a 77-acre solar-powered equestrian estate near Princeton, New Jersey, will be sold at a live, on-site, no-reserve auction on Oct. 10.

The property, which was listed for $4.8 million on April 22 by Judson R. Henderson and Jane Henderson Kenyon of Callaway Henderson Sotheby’s International Realty, will be sold by Miami-based Platinum Luxury Auctions.

At the beginning of 2019, the property’s ownership was transferred to a Florida-based trust associated with a foundation according to property records.

Mr. Henderson said that the original owners bought the property in the 1980s, and up until recently used it as their primary residence.

“They don’t have family here anymore—their kids live on the West Coast, and that’s where they want to be,” he said.

Dream Homes: Edina estate heads to auction after lingering on the market at $5.7M

After sitting on the market for a couple of years at just under $6 million, a grand Edina estate is going up for auction on Sept. 21.

The 13,000-square-foot home owned by Jeff and Mary Werbalowsky was listed for sale for $6.2 million in February 2017 and the price was dropped to $5.7 million in May 2018.
