The Property

PREVIOUSLY $5.2 MILLION. NOW SELLING WITHOUT RESERVE! This modern mountain estate is an elegant sanctuary with an impressive list of luxury lifestyle features, situated on nearly one acre amongst the natural beauty of the exclusive Castle Pines Village community.

The Property offers four levels: two, uppermost living levels (+/- 9,257 sf); a finished lower level (+/- 3,600 sf), and a subterranean, automotive “vault” able to accommodate 10 vehicles (+/- 1,476 sf). There are a total of 8 bedrooms, 9 full and 2 half baths.

Designed by Nicholas Custom Homes and the Phoenix Design Group, the estate features impressive architectural details such as custom windows, a cross-gabled roof, custom lighting and built-ins, and a “floating glass” walkway above the foyer.

Two features of this posh residence are exceptionally unique: its private spa and its subterranean “auto vault.”

When entering the private spa on the lower level, one could easily be confused that he has just been transported to a Mandarin Oriental or Four Seasons resort. With climate/humidity control throughout, a sauna, steam room, marble hot tub with infinity edge, in-floor radiant heat, and a private massage room with wash basin and shower, the days of having to travel to a commercial spa are decidedly over!

Built partially into the mountainside, the subterranean auto-vault is equal parts finished lounge and garage, offering a luxe retreat for both man and machine. Features include a wash/detailing bay, wet bar, and lounge area. Truly a garage that will appease even the most particular automotive enthusiast.

Additional features include a keyless entry system, SnoMelt heated driveway, multiple working fireplaces, fitness center, motorized window shades, a gourmet kitchen with top-of-the-line appliance, elevator, and home theater.

The Community

CASTLE PINES VILLAGE. Established in 1981, the covenant-controlled residential community of Castle Pines Village was developed to enhance the natural beauty of Colorado. Situated approximately thirty miles outside of Denver, the 2,800-acre village is gated, private and serene. Home sites are designed with both the mountain views and the surrounding pines in mind, in order to preserve and protect the wildlife and the native environment of this portion of Douglas County.

In addition to its excellent location just minutes from the Denver Light Rail system, the community boasts many amenities, including on-site emergency services, social events for all ages, three children’s play parks and three recreational centers offering swimming pools, tennis, volleyball, basketball and multipurpose fields. Thirteen miles of trails wind through the Village, perfect for walking and biking; and of course, the two private golf courses within the Village offer an excellent opportunity to work on your swing.

Just outside the community, dining and shopping options abound, both at The Village at Castle Pines and Park Meadows Mall—the largest shopping mall in Colorado. Historic Castle Rock, famous for its boom years as a quarry town and shipping depot, is just 6 miles south; its public art, wine festivals and historic tours offer myriad opportunities to enjoy Colorado’s famed “300 days of sunshine” each year.

The Location

CASTLE ROCK, CO. Drawn to the area by rumors of gold as well as the land offered by the Homestead Act of 1862, the first settlers of Castle Rock instead found rhyolite stone in the hills. This rock, similar to granite, was prized in the booming construction industry of the time, and few places in the United States quarried as much of it as the towns in the Rocky Mountains. Only 30 miles outside of Denver, Castle Rock has the advantages of the culture and opportunities of the largest city in Colorado while being able to maintain the charm of a smaller town.

Named after a tower-shaped butte just north of the town center, Castle Rock has grown into an affluent community centered around the Denver Technological Center, which employs many of its residents. The town has been listed on many “Best Of” lists, including Forbes magazine’s “Best Places to Move,” Family Circle’s “Best Towns for Families,” and twice in Money magazine’s “Best Places to Live in America.”

Property listed and offered for sale by SCB & Associates of Denver, CO. Listing Broker Stephen Brinley (Lic#EI222861).
