This elegant estate is situated on 2.7 lush acres in exclusive southern Ridgefield, and boasts impressive “smart home” amenities. MacMillan Architects in Ridgefield worked for over 18 months to design the Property, and emphasized the use of reliable, low-maintenance materials. The home’s siding, shingles, and exterior trim are constructed of components that are especially impervious to weather and rot, and that are more easily repaired if required.

Landscape plans were developed with Studer Design Associates of Ridgefield, and include a 60-ft pond, in-ground spa with rock waterfall, multiple gardens and a gazebo (conceptual plans are also available for the addition of an in-ground swimming pool). Scaping Falls Nursery and Gardens of Scarsdale constructed the 6,000 sf of paved driveway, 3,000 sf of stone terraces and stone walls that enhance the beauty of the landscaping. A small garden building neatly stores supplies, and the sides and rear of the property are fenced with 8-ft, black-coated fencing to deter deer.

The home’s first floor is built for entertaining, and offers a sunken living room and grand dining room – all enhanced by handsome wood molding and hardwood floors. The rear of the residence features a family room, game room and home theater, while a large, mahogany-paneled office designed by Neal Zimmerman (a leading architect in workplace planning) maximizes productivity. Second-floor bedrooms include a spacious master suite, 4 guest bedrooms and 2 full baths.
