Details &
Description

Set on the shores of Fourth Lake in the heart of the Adirondacks, Camp Cliffview is a legacy property that captures the character of the region’s great camps while offering total comfort and convenience. Spanning 4.46 private acres and more than 300 ft of pristine lakefront, the estate has been thoughtfully restored to preserve its historic craftsmanship while introducing contemporary updates that complement its natural surroundings. With 8,625 sf of total living space across multiple structures, the property functions as a classic camp ideal for extended family gatherings or multi-generational living.

The main residence, ideally positioned above the water, offers a south-facing, cantilevered deck that opens to sweeping views across Fourth Lake. Inside, five bedrooms and three bathrooms provide accommodations for up to twelve guests, creating a warm and welcoming sanctuary for year-round use. The guest residence offers an inviting, single-level layout with a spacious bedroom, full bath, and open living areas, extending seamlessly to a private deck overlooking the lake. The carriage house, rich in classic Adirondack detail, includes a full kitchen, bath, and second-level sitting area, along with seven bedrooms that can host up to fourteen guests—an ideal setup for larger gatherings. A top-level loft adds flexibility for additional sleeping quarters or creative use.

Adding to the camp’s versatility, the game room provides a dedicated space for recreation, while the boathouse is as charming as it is functional. With three boat bays, each equipped with lift systems, and an expansive upper level ready for customization, it is perfect for lakeside entertaining or future studio use. Beyond a residence, it is an enduring retreat—a place to gather, celebrate, and create lasting memories for generations to come.

THE ADIRONDACKS, NY. Home to the largest protected natural area in the lower 48 states, the Adirondacks span more than 6 million acres across 12 regional destinations. The Algonquin peoples and the Mohawk nation traveled this land but never settled it, and the region eventually came under control of the English. After the American Revolutionary War, the land passed to the people of New York State and in 1989 part of the region was designated by UNESCO as the Champlain-Adirondack Biosphere Reserve.  Nearly 60 percent of the Adirondack Mountains are covered in hardwood forest; these forests and their accompanying wetlands are home to various wildlife including turtles, moose, and many species of birds.

Birding, hunting, motorcycling, rock climbing, and golf offer an array of fun in the mountains; however, if more refined pursuits are desired, then museums, shopping, and wineries in the area are sure to please. Endless warm-weather adventures to be had in the Adirondacks include water activities such as canoeing, kayaking, whitewater rafting, boating, and fishing. Camping is extremely popular in the Adirondacks, and there are numerous campgrounds and RV sites; backcountry and winter camping are also common. Glamorous camping (‘glamping’ for short!) is available for those less interested in getting rugged and offers access to modern luxuries while still allowing glampers to enjoy the great outdoors.
