PREVIOUSLY OFFERED FOR $3.9 MILLION. NOW SELLING WITHOUT RESERVE! Located in Upstate New York in the Adirondacks, this lakefront estate is picture perfect. Sited on 2.94 acres and boasting more than 424 linear feet of lake frontage, this charming residence has retained all of its circa-1900s charm – with a full, modern renovation to provide twenty-first century conveniences! The Property consists of the main residence, two guest cabins, and two separate boathouses, all on Upper Saranac Lake’s western shore. Enchanting in setting and architecture, the Property offers an abundance of privacy on its lushly wooded lot, which includes lantern-topped boulders, granite stairs, and docks all integrated harmoniously with the landscape.
The four-bedroom main residence boasts beautiful, open spaces for entertaining – all with a signature Adirondack style. Hardwood floors, native stone fireplaces, and walls of windows and French doors meant to bring the outside in provide the perfect setting for relaxed living, and a gourmet kitchen makes preparing meals for family and friends a joy. A screened wraparound porch overlooks the lake, drawing the eye to the calm waters and lovely views. A three-bedroom guest cottage and a log cabin directly on the lake provide additional sleeping quarters – and the log cabin was made for “glamping!”
Lakeside, a rare three-slip boat house with an upper-level apartment boasting one full and one-half bath offers another cabin-chic living space. A covered deck and adjacent wraparound sundeck provide shade and respite on long sun-drenched days, allowing Panther Point’s visitors to catch a breath before taking another spin down the waterslide, or testing their skills on the diving board. The boathouse provides ample storage for watercraft and outdoor supplies, and another one-slip boathouse is located a short walk down the trail.
All of these structures have been maintained to the highest standards, and are finely appointed with luxurious furnishings and hotel-quality linens – and Panther Point is selling fully furnished, offering a unique opportunity for a turn-key lake residence.

SARANAC LAKE, NY. Located in the Tri-Lakes region, which spans two counties and three towns, the town of Saranac lake has just 5,406 residents. The Mohawk people used this area as their hunting grounds prior to the first European Americans settling here in 1819. Soon after heir arrival, William F. Martin built one of the first hotels in the area, and his lake house (known as “Martin’s”) became a favorite place for hunters, woodsmen, and socialites. The popularity of skiing increased in the late 1880s, and New York’s rich and famous flocked to the region to enjoy year-round entertainments.
Many influential people visited Saranac Lake including Albert Einstein, Mark Twain, Calvin Coolidge, and even New York’s current governor Andrew Cuomo. Shopping, camping, boating, and hiking, as well as cultural activities from open-air concerts to museums, theaters, and restaurants provide entertainment every day of the week. Winter activities include the annual 10-day winter carnival, cross-country, skiing, snowshoeing, ice skating, and snowmobiling. Today, well-heeled visitors continue to travel to the region, enjoying the natural beauty, cool, clean air and impressive array of activities.
THE ADIRONDACKS, NY. Home to the largest protected natural area in the lower 48 states, the Adirondacks span more than 6 million acres across 12 regional destinations. The Algonquin peoples and the Mohawk nation traveled this land but never settled it, and the region eventually came under control of the English. After the American Revolutionary War, the land passed to the people of New York State and in 1989 part of the region was designated by UNESCO as the Champlain-Adirondack Biosphere Reserve. Nearly 60 percent of the Adirondack Mountains are covered in hardwood forest; these forests and their accompanying wetlands are home to various wildlife including turtles, moose, and many species of birds.
Birding, hunting, motorcycling, rock climbing, and golf offer an array of fun in the mountains; however, if more refined pursuits are desired, then museums, shopping, and wineries in the area are sure to please. Endless warm-weather adventures to be had in the Adirondacks include water activities such as canoeing, kayaking, whitewater rafting, boating, and fishing. Camping is extremely popular in the Adirondacks, and there are numerous campgrounds and RV sites; backcountry and winter camping are also common. Glamorous camping (‘glamping’ for short!) is available for those less interested in getting rugged and offers access to modern luxuries while still allowing glampers to enjoy the great outdoors.
